Alexander Alexandrov is a Los Angeles-based director/cinematographer, originally from Russia. He entered the industry professionally at the emerging time of digital cinema, noticing an opportunity for self starting filmmakers to break in. He put his savings towards buying a cinema camera and started offering himself as a freelancer to work on projects in Los Angeles. Alexander was constantly honing his craft, continuously shooting projects he was passionate about to grow his portfolio and showcase his vision globally.

The clients he has directed and photographed for include Lexus, Harley-Davidson, Ford, Land Rover, Toyota, Delorean, ASICS, Tiffany & Co., La Mer, Bobby Brown, Maybelline, Vogue, Sony, Net-A-Porter, Columbia, UniQlo, Marc Jacobs, Alexander McQueen, Smirnoff, Coach, Beats By Dre, Amazon, Mercedes-Benz and many others. Feature films Alexander was the director of photography on have premiered at TIFF, Tribeca, SXSW and LA Film Festival.

His visual style is cinematic, sensitive, emotional with elements of beauty and fashion, a bit of a character, a bit of an edge. He likes motivated lighting and beautiful scenic settings. As an experienced feature film cinematographer Alexander is capable of shooting projects large and small. He also likes to shoot stills - character driven portraits and editorials.

Alexander sees filmmaking as a challenging yet extremely rewarding profession that allows us to see the world in all its diversity and celebrate life in many creative ways. His approach is to be effective and humble and to do it for joy - ultimately letting the work speak for itself.
